The Temporary Work (Short Stay) 400 visa comes under Employer-Sponsored Visas designed for a highly specialized skilled worker who wants to travel to Australia for a short time period. The visa is suitable if you have a specialized skill or professional knowledge of a field that generally can not reasonably be found in Australia.
The applicant requires a sponsor in Australia to apply for a subclass 400 visa to stay and perform highly specialized work (non-ongoing work) or participate in professional activities. Generally, the visa will be granted for three months( six months in some limited circumstances) where an applicant is allowed to include family members in Australia and family members can study for three months in Australia (except a language training program).
To apply for a subclass 400 visa, an applicant should be outside Australia. Applying to Australia or staying longer by extending this visa is not applicable.

To be eligible for a subclass 400 visa, the applicant must have to provide evidence of having work experience in particular specialised skills to stay in Australia. The work experience must be in required specialised skill other than the entertainment industry.
Financial Requirement:
The applicant must have enough funds to support the living costs for themselves and family members while staying in Australia, you might need to provide evidence of financial documents, such as an employment contract, bank statement, or a letter from the institution sponsoring your financial position.
Health and Character Requirement:
The applicant and their family must meet the health and character requirement as mentioned by theĀ Department of home affairs.
